In 1969, Al Thompson developed a synthetic,
sock covered curling broom which he patented and started producing in
a small, 400 square foot shop. A complete line of curling supples and
accessories was added to production within a year.
In 1983, the family operated company expanded into the production of
curling rink equipment. Starting with our first Rink-Master Power Ice
Scraper and manufacturing a full line of curling stones and equipment.
Over the past 30+ years, we have designed and developed new and innovative
products. We have been issued nine patents with two more pending. We
have designed and manufactured 14 other products for curling rinks for
which a patent has not been applied.
In our current 7,000 square foot shop and storage space, we are the
world's largest manufacturer and distributor of curling rink equipment
and supplies, but we are not stopping here. We are constantly designing
and developing new products with ice makers and curlers in mind.
Our unique method of manufacturing and reconditioning curling stones,
allows us to guarantee there is no break-in period. This has been proven,
when our newly reconditioned stones were used at three World Curling
Championships, major competitions, and bonspiels.
